Oregon Insurance Continuing Education Courses

We offer both text based and online insurance continuing education courses.

 

Online Ethics and Code (Law) Courses*

 

Oregon Insurance Professional's Ethics This course defines and covers the basic concept of ethics. It discusses the role of ethics in our personal as well as professional lives and the challenges of ethical living. Also covered are core ethical values, the role of rationalization, detailing the framework of ethical decision-making and concludes with a brief discourse on ethics and conflict of interests. (3 hours $24)

 

The Law and Life Insurance The course provides an overview of the Oregon statutes that cover Life Insurance and the specific areas that agents should be aware of. While an agent is not expected to be a legal expert, familiarity with the law will help agents give better counsel to their clients and prospects. (3 hours $24)

 

The Law and Health & Long Term Care Insurance. The course provides an overview of the Oregon statutes that cover Health and Long Term Care Insurance and the specific areas that agents should be aware of. While an agent is not expected to be a legal expert, familiarity with the law will help agents give better counsel to their clients and prospects. (3 hours $24)

 

The Law and Property Insurance. The course covers many of the design elements of insurance policies, something the agent has no control over. Familiarity with the law will help agents give better counsel to their clients and prospects. Knowledge of the statutes will also increase their professionalism and serve as a guide to ethical behavior.(3 hours $24)

 

The Law and Casualty Insurance The course provides an overview of the Oregon statutes that cover Casualty Insurance and the specific areas that agents should be aware of. While an agent is not expected to be a legal expert, familiarity with the law will help agents give better counsel to their clients and prospects. (3 hours $24)

 

Oregon Long Term Care Initial Certification

 

Oregon Long term Care Intiial Certification Course. This 8 hour Long-term Care Insurance course meets the Oregon Senate Bill 191 requirements for licensed producers wishing to transact long-term care insurance business after January 31, 2008. (8 hours $65)
